Merry Christmas

Sorry for the long absence. Last week I traveled to Yaounde to extend my visa. I will be posting more after Christmas.

About Me

I am returning to Cameroon as a member of Mission Doctors Association (MDA) and will spend half of my time at the Cardiac Center in Shisong, Cameroon beginning in October 2013.

This will be my fourth trip with MDA. Since 1959, Mission Doctors has made it possible for Catholic Doctors to serve at mission hospital and clinics around the world.

The Cardiac Center at St. Elizabeth's Catholic Mission Hospital is run by the Tertiary Sisters of Sr. Francis.

The other half of my time (6 months/year) will be spent in my position as a cardiac anesthesiologist at the University of Rochester. As I will be working, my own needs will be self-funded. I hope others will consider serving or supporting the work of Mission Doctors 'A Mission of Healing, A Partnership of Hope'.

You can also provide a donation to assist with the expense of heart surgery for patients unable to afford their costs in Cameroon. This can be done by making a direct donation to Mission Doctors Association, in which case 10% of the donation will go to support the work of MDA and the remainder to the Cardiac Program.
